Tess Mattern is a swim coach, Master Nutrition Therapist, USAT Level 1 certified coach and a NASM certified Personal Trainer. She coaches for the CSU Triathlon team and has taught people of all ages how to swim. She has also coached competitive Swimmers of all ages, Special Olympic Athletes, Triathletes, Masters Athletes, and pretty much everyone in between! Her love for coaching is evident through her enthusiasm to help each individual athlete reach their fullest potential.
Tess is a graduate of Emory University where she earned 12 All-American honors, set 7 varsity records, was the first female swimmer from Emory to achieve All-American honors in the same 3 events all 4 years, and helped her swim team to a National Championship title. Since 2009, when she started competing in triathlons she has several age group wins, finished in the top 5 women overall, completed 3 half marathons, an open water 10k swim, 10 Olympic distance triathlons with an age group nationals qualification, and two 70.3 races.
